Weekly Phoneography Challenge: My Neighbourhood

This challenge gave me a new appreciation for the neighborhood we live in.

Situated about 20km from Pretoria in South Africa in the vicinity of an inland dam, is the community of Kameeldrift East.

It consists mostly of smallholdings/plots or small farms  and security estates.

What I like most about my neighborhood is the peace and quiet, abundant birdlife and even wild animals we encounter occasionally. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life yet near enough if we want to go shopping or out for an evening.

These photos were taken with my Nokia phone today.

      • I enjoy the snow but, to be honest, now is the time for spring to arrive and a snow-free period. Thankfully the snow and ice are beginning to melt and the temperatures are increasing 🙂
